i use the Zoltrix Nightingale Optical PCI Sound Card (not the Pro6)
and it's been a month since my purchase. no problem except the driver
issue. i use it on Win2000 and suffered from a driver problem which
disabled the SPDIF Out (hey! that was the only thing i needed) then i
downloaded the v1.72 drivers from the zoltrix site and the problem was
gone. no fizzing and popping (lol :) you have to purchase the optical
kit separately and all costed me 30$ here in Izmir,Turkey. i also got
the free Optical (TOSLINK <-> Miniplug) cable and that was something
that i needed.
to make the story short, i prefer you to have this sound card if
you're already recording with the analog output.
