Well, in the Gregorys manual, In the 1968 'wheel magazine review' bit they
claim they 1000 gets 39mpg in highway conditions. I don't know how accurate
that is, as I removed the 10A engine from my 1000 shortly after I bought it.
I now have a stock 12A with a DGV 32/36 weber, And I fill the ~20 litre tank
maybe once every 2 weeks or so, all city driving. I haven't measured my
milage properly, but its very good.
James.
