hi,
if i was going to attemp to turbo a 4.1 i would proably try and get a XF
update head (fuel injected head or complete engine, with or without
computer.) then buy a turbo or twin turbos, make up a manifold ect ect, then
just put bigger injectors in or add a extra injector when it comes onto
boost and leans ot the mixture, you could alwas go for LPG (im going to run
my impot engines on LPG) rember super is going to be discontinued in a year
or two so it may pay to go for the unleaded engine. also if you do decide to
use LPG you will ither have t set your head up for unleaded (change valves
ect) or use a oil injection system. the oil injection system as its
sometimes referd to is basicaly a plastic container containing a dear thin
oil, from the container is a small tube which gois to a needle vale or
similar to vary how much oil passes through the line. from there the ol line
goies to somewhere on the intake side of the engine, eg intake manifold. the
oil basicaly does what lead does in super. but as LPG and unleaded dont have
lead so the engine uses stronger valves and seats?? which dont need the
lubrication of te lead.
