Daniel,
I'm not talking Selly's expanding foam here, there are products
specifically designed for this purpose available. Some of the big car
manufacturers use it as standard in there expensive models, mainly for
its safety features. I'm sure rust wouldn't be a problem if adequate
precautions were taken.
