I only asked because if you were running a very low diff ratio eg; 4.8:1, that it will have an effect on boost buildup pressure due to not enough engine load to create boost pressure. (did that make sense) ??

Your comments intrigue me greatly as i just recently tryed an FJ20 T3 with the 0.63 rear housing on my Z18et with not much success??!?!?!? It bolted on fine, worked well, blew no smoke - but just seemed to be way to big! First gear wouldnt boost at all, second gear would start boosting at about 5000rpm, third gear about 4500rpm - it was useless?? It was good for high speed sessions as it pulled alot harder on the same boost as the standard turbo but it was impossible to get on boost. Was there something i was doing wrong?

Sounds good to me!I think I would get it and stick it away until required. If you build those Gibson B/Bird style extractors, you could mount an external wastegate on them.

I want to upgrade the turbo (standard one) on my Z-18et.� I'm in no hurry except that I can get my hands on a T3 without the actuator, done 65 000 kays and has a .63 A/R on the turbine housing.� All for about 150 bucks.� Do I get it or wait till I really need one?� Is it too big?� One person from a speed shop said it would be overkill but some others said it would suit.� I'm open to suggestions /advice / opinions.
