Are you in for some fun, that's a pretty big carbie for a 1300cc.

Change jet?

Make that jets, it has two and they're the same part. I'd say you'll be
changing them for sure, the good thing is that a DCD uses a common weber jet
PN 73801.nnn where the nnn is the size, a 100 is ~1.00 mm and is the
smallest available that I've ever seen and I'd start with them. The 73801
jets are the same as those used in the DGV, DGAV and DGAS series so they
shouldn't be too exy either.

Most weber nuts (mates) have these jets lying around, you might be lucky.
BTW they're a bitch to change on the DCD but you probably have figured that
just by looking at it.

The 7R bit has me tossed though, I have no idea what that's originally off,
the DCD was used in some Fords, Cortinia GT's etc but these had different
primary venturis like 28/32DCD so by the size of the thing I'd say it's off
a 6 cyl.

regards
Terry

Subject: weber on 1300 mazda (off topic sorry)

Im currently installing a carby i have (36DCD7R stamped in it) which is
a two barrel downdraft weber on my 1300CC mazda 808.

It was installed on a 2.4lt skyline beforehand so i expect its too rich
for a much smaller engine.

What do i have to do to make it suitable for my engine (besides adaptor
plate, i am hopefully getting that sorted tommorrow)? Change jets?
which ones and to what?

Sorry its off topic but you guys know it all and i cant find any decent
mazda groups around like this one... (where is that straw?? :)

thanks
- Julian
