Andrew,
       Good question! Well initially I ran the standard rota button and
found that at around 40'ish degrees advance, the spark had nowhere to
go...therefore misfiring occurred. All I did was to file down the original
electrode on my rota button, which allowed me to solder some thick copper
wire in its place. I shaped it into an arc shape similar to that seen on
newer rota buttons and filed it down again until the clearance to the dizzy
cap was Ok. I added more solder in parts and filed other parts until I was
happy with it.
The best part is, it worked!
