ryan, my problem isn't that the bracket needs to be further out from the firewall, it needs to be shifted across further towards the passenger side. i.e. my old carby was smaller and closer to the head than the weber. I have an extended bar to go from the first link (near the fusebox)across the firewall and to the other link which will then have to be moved over on the firewall by about an inch to meet up. It is hard to explain but i was just curious whether i would be better off drilling some new holes in my firewall or to get a cable setup. is the cable setup difficult to setup? how much would it set me back?
