Im no auto electrics expert, but it sounds a lot like what a mate of mine with a V8 Holden has happen to him - the explanation given to him by an auto electrician was that there is an exciter diode (?) that part of the indicator light circuit, and that when they get old/hot/cactus they start to require a little more voltage through them before they start working properly. As I said, thats through a mate, who is pretty reliable, who got it from another bloke, so it may not be 100% accurate, but it could help prompt one of the sparkies on the list?
