I have run a L20B with a A87 head with the cam running off the lash pad it was probley the best output(to drive) with a "stock long block" Remember: A lose tappet is better than a bent one,but this doesnt work with a L engine... I have seen Datsun L rockers come off under real hard driving,,Lucky enough the rocker and lash pad was still on the top of the head and not dropped down the front..
