mate there is only one place to go to in canberra, all the others are shite.

 

they are in fishy, howard revell the guy there is really good and knows about dattos.

 

DO NOT go to revell in braddon.

 

Another option is to go to the shell at the top of belconnen and talk to the mechani there with the red beard, NOT THE MANAGER, and ask for some weekend work off the books. they are goodm cheap and quite quick.

Took my car to Pedders (I know, bad me) yesterday for a 28 point check... I knew it needed a wheel alignment and I thought they could shed some light on why it wanders. Current suspension is very stiff, front more so than the back. Blah blah blah, they said it would never be 100% but if I was to replace all bushes with rubber it would certainly help and that my current wheels and tyres (TRX rims wearing 195/55/15 tyres) weren't exactly helping matters. Here's the list of failures and the quote to replace them... 

Front shocks $250 ,Front bump stops $87, Rear shocks $148, Subframe mounts $147, Wheel Alignment $60.

So including labour of $480 the grand total comes to $1172!

Does anyone else think this is a bit rich? Anyway, options? Do I shop around for a better price (any ideas on who else to go to in the ACT, pref Belco but will travel if necessary) or do I get the front end done first and the back when I can afford it...
