YEa, pretty much. You can see the litle rod deal you are catching it on thru the hole pretty easy. Now keep in mind I did this on a couple that were out of the car, but I cant see it being much more difficult in the car.

Do you have to put it in the hole, catch the rod by feel and then tug on it to make sure it's in place before locking it in on top? I think this would definitely be a job worth doing on my W126 to put it right. It's had shift timing problems since I bought it.
