I looked at mine again this morning. The spring mount tab on the body is gone, anyone have suggestions? Think a new hook/tab could be welded in there? IIRC the a pillar down channel is where its mounting on, meaning I would have to drill through the square to mount a u hook or somethign. Suggestions?

My trusted mechnic told me to take it to a body shop as there is no way to
access the lower bolts without R/R of the fender. If the fender is
original, it has been glued into place, so this is NOT a job for the
unprepared or hubristic.

I am basically a coward so will not arrempt to do this on my own.

Mine is buggered at the locking pin, not the lower connector.
