Pretty sure it was screwed on. Sure seems odd doesn't it?

Was the fuse strip glued or taped on? I wonder if it is the spare external
GP fuse for the fender wall fuse carrier for the relay?

Thanks Mitch -- That clears it up perfectly! I was afraid I was missing
something important.
BTW - I rec'd the new GP Relay from Rusty today and installed it. No
problems - it fit perfectly and the car starts as it should.
Unfortunately,
we won't know how it starts after spending a cool night outside.
One thing I noticed though - the new one that came in a Hella box, had a
large fuse strip across one end. It was hidden by the cover once
installed
but the one I removed (with a MB sticker on it) didn't have a exposed
fuse.
I suppose there may have been one inside the case.
Does anyone know for sure?
Thx
Larry

Hi Guys,
I'm sorry Mitch - I do appreciate you writing an trying to help (same
to Jim C) - but you lost me when you got deep into the technical jargon.
I can handle mechanical stuff pretty well, but electrical leaves me in a
cloud of dust.
So, when you were saying <<forget whether it was CIS or electronic.
If
CIS, you can pull the injectors, stick them into containers, and supply
12v to the fuel pump while lifting the airflow flapper. Does the
container under the #1 injector fill faster than the others? Or does #1
flow fuel before you lift the airflow flapper?>>
Sorry, I was talking about Jim's SL with the fuel injection problem that
keeps
fouling a spark plug, I think it was #1. Didn't mean for you to wade
through all of that trying to find a solution for your glow issue. He
mentioned replacing a capacitor in his fuel control box and I brought up
a
few more possibilities without noticing that it was your thread.
Mitch.
