I'm a big fan of the 944 Turbo and 968 - the 968 is rare enough to be expensive while 944s are all over the place. They have problems that lack of maintenance can turn into expensive nightmares - but for $5k or less you can usually get a great 944 T. They handle great and have good AC systems.

Last night when I went to dinner there was a 944 turbo parked in front of the hotel with a pizza delivery sign on top.
Looked to be mid '80s, oxidized paint but otherwise nice shape...

I prefer front porches with enough room for comfortable chairs. As far as
cars are concerned, I have no experience with Porsches.
