I once had some of dick danger's ale (good stuff) I understand they
also put out some saudages which are quite good, and bumperstickers
that say they're unbeatable...

Black Butte Porter is indeed a fine local beer for something you can
buy at the supermarket (well, at least if that supermarket is in
western Oregon or Washington). I tried my best to get Hendrik to
include the Pacific Northwest in his travel plans! He has only
himself to blame for not getting a chance at the best beers in the
country. In Portland or Seattle you could drink ten different
locally-brewed beers a day for a month and not have the same one
twice...
