Growing up in my family the wing vents were where the Pall Mall smoke exited
the car year round.
Back in 1990, I parked my '63 Falcon at the van stop (where we all climbed
into a company provided van for the ride to the old nuke plant) along with
my work associates' Buick Grand National, and two '89 Chevy PUs. We came
home the next morning and all the cars were stolen except my Falcon. It had
its wing vent popped out and peeled down like a banana peel so they could
reach in, open the door, and steal the spare change from my ashtray. It was
difficult to find someone who wanted to part with a good wing vent.

I say bring back floor vents and wing vents.
