In my limited experience Joke-ohama are terrible tires. I will never
have one on anything I own.

They seem to run fine on dry roads, but now that winter is here, they
show themselves to be inadequate.
I'd rather not have two sets of wheels and two sets of tires, so I'm
looking for a good, all-season tire with good winter performance.

Bought my college student grand-daughter Michelin Hydroedge for her Honda Accord summer before last. She had an uneventful winter driving during several snow storms, and she's having another, so far, this winter. Not cheap, but supposedly have good tread life. These tires had very good reports about snow driving from a number of sources.
Tire Rack: Hydroedge 205-65-15 or 16... $100. Costco has Hydroedge too.
