I forgot what year your "new" MB is - does it have seat belts?
(I ask because I caught heck from the spouse the first time I took
my youngest for a ride in my 62 300SE when she found out it didn't
have seat belts. Yikes!)

Wow! 300SE is a beautiful car. Too bad you didn't/couldn't keep
it. It was on my drool list since I first saw one in the junkyard.
