Good point. There's probably 5mph or so difference between a 1980 or newer big cam 240D and an earlier model. Probably a few mph difference between auto and manual trans too.

Your honor, The officer admits his radar was not functioning properly, so he simply guessed at my speed. The ticket should be dismissed for lack of competent evidence. The top speed of my car is 78-80mph, and it takes considerable effort to achieve that. You'd have to be really trying to go over 75mph. I wasn't trying that day.
