Jack Pine is Michigan's example.
Since Kirkland's Warbler pretty much exclusively nests in Jack Pine forests, the foolish attempts to prevent regular forest fires (so we get much larger but less frequent fires instead) are making it hard for the bird to remain viable as a species.
