I suspect she will not be in the hinterlands and it only needs to get her to
and from work and the grocery store. I am told the streets are not plowed
during daytime driving hours while it snows. Everybody goes home and the plows
come out. Biggest issue would then be that snow fell, it made a blanket upon
the road while she was at work, and it is now as many inches high as the
clearance of the car.

A number of options have been floated for just what sort of vehicle she wants.
Being petite, she likes the venza awd. They are not yet off lease, and she is
too tight with cash to purchase new. A truck would be practical. I am going
to leave it to her to figure out, as I will not be affected by the weather or
snow at my hovel.

I do get a head scratcher about all the smaller cars that are for sale on CL in
AK. Maybe they are summer cars, but not everybody there can afford seasonal
vehicle ownership.
