It seems to me that the ethanol mix gas goes bad way faster. In days compared go months for the non-ethanol stuff.
I end up with ethanol gas in my dual sport bike and if it sits for a few days it is a bear to start unless I drain the bowl and get fresh gas into the carb. Then it fires right up. I mix Poulan synyhetic 2 stroke oil with non-ethanol gas and it can sit in my chainsaw untouched for months at a time and it always starts easily and runs fine. Odd how some folks have trouble and some don't. Must be environmental to a point as well.
