Both sides have stirred us to fight each other.
Our entire government was mostly useless, which is why we hardly noticed
the shutdowns in the Reagan and Clinton years.
Now that government is entirely useless, we wouldn't have cared at all
about the shutdown. That's why our President, a long time subscriber to
the Chicago
Way of never letting a crisis go to waste, decided to manufacture a crisis
so that we'd notice the shutdown.
