Pulled the KLIMA this evening. It was sealed with clear RTV around the base, which tells me it’s probably not the original. I got it open pretty easily and didn’t find anything amiss inside. The solder joints on the main terminals were pretty tight and looked good, so I didn’t reflow them. I put it back together after giving the relays a shot of contact cleaner and resealed the case. I got AC when I was done, so it’s still working.
It had some non-MB stickers on it, so I’m guessing it’s a replacement. Nothing that would identify who it came from, however. I’ve got my hands full with the wife away tending to the mother in law, who had hip surgery today. I’ve got a conference all next week in Orlando, so I’m not digging into anything of substance right now. I’ve got a meter of power steering return line I might install before the weekend, but that will be the extent of my tinkering for a week or so.
