Yep, 'wondered after I sent it that could be the vac/siphon break for the DW drain. Yep, I screwed up again - jumped too quickly. Soma the regular drain vents look much like that, too.

Sorry, Wilton, it is not a drain vent. It's a vacuum breaker in the drain
line of the dishwasher.
