What you are saying makes perfect sense, and which is why I would prefer to
get a car from someone who knows what it is and has done the work on it to
keep it running reliably and take the advice of people who know these
cars.

Since this is hopefully the last car I buy for 10+ years, I just have to
remember these lessons in the future!
