Well we were young and dumb then and I don't think our realtor even mentioned it. Wife became a realtor after this. The house we bought a couple of years ago I did not pay for an inspector other than a termite inspection. I did my own inspections. Afterward I have found a few things here and there I missed but probably would not have made any difference anyway. Yes I probably should have paid the $5-600 to get a full blown inspection.
