First 4 awards based on km:

  250K
  500K
  750K
  1000K

  Fifth on mileage 1,000,000

You need to call MBUSA - 1-800-FOR-MERC - and request the form and then have
a stealership sign the paper they ask you to fill out and send it in. All free
- badges are very well done and very durable.

They award badges based on km correct?

That's the one for $100 - NOT worth it.

If you have a classic (20 years of more) Benz, register it with MBUSA,
and qualify for a high mileage award, the badge (along with a HUGE
collections catalog with a very cool (and large) offering of expensive
scale model cars) will come together in a box with a VERY nice high mileage
certificate in a VERY nice silver embossed hard-cover (cloth) folder. VERY
NICE and it's FREE. Doesn't list anything other than model and VIN and
certifes you reached the indicated "kilomeratage" - but way better than the
$100 deal.

Besides, Bob Rentro, I think, got a copy of his build card from the
Classic center for free.

FYI, if your car is not 20 yrs old, you get a much plainer certificate,
badge and no coll silver embossed folder. For some reason I got both when I
got my 250,000km badge.

Maximum signal strength is received by an antenna when it's 1/4 the
electrical length of the target frequency. (Think speed of light
versus frequency, how far does the wave propagate in that time.)
Orientation also matters. It's a coupling thing. I've forgotten
all the rest (electromagnetics was never my best area), and I'm
not going to look it up again!
