I bought a Craftsman top and bottom set at Lowes last year for most stock
of airplane parts so they aren't scattered all over the hangar. IIRC, it's
the 40" wide x 24" deep model. It has nice large wheels - bolted on.
I bought a Husky from HD this year to consolidate my mechanicing tools, the
fabrication tools are still in the odd collection of old boxes.
I compared Craftsman, Husky, and HF boxes. Note that they all have two or
three levels of build - I call then lite, med., and heavy duty. You have to
compare the similar builds, not a lite of one to a med. of the other.
HF did not have 24" deep drawers in the medium build boxes when I was
looking, and the Husky was about the same price with 24" deep drawers.
Also note that stock varies frequently these days, the box I wanted was not
available in OK when I was ready to pull the trigger. I waited about a
month, then one appeared at my local store. I quickly bought it on-line
with local pickup to lock it in. I had been looking at a different HF box
earlier, decided it might be "the one", but it is not even in their catalog
now.
Go and look at them all, decide what size and features you want, then go
home and build a spreadsheet and compare what's available.
