Don't recall the exact details but a mechanic that my son used to work with had a hot rod with a flat head Ford V8. They put in on the dyno at the shop and he was making more than 200 HP. I think factory horsepower was originally 65 and by about 1950 they were up to about 100 HP.

Should be easy enough to work on, engine and transmission has got to be dead 
simple and I bet parts are still obtainable. Get it running, maybe put in an AC 
system from Vintage Air, and you have a nice cruiser.
