welding is a bad idea, replacing it is the best solution.

Not knowing about any other failure, and only going by what he showed me, the crack was in the mount for the subframe, and not the subframe itself. Not sure if this is what the normal failure is. It defentely can't not be fixed without welding the old one, or cutting it out and putting a new one it.
