My '06 Ram 2500 Cummins Diesel automatic is a fine truck.  The '03 6speed 
was too although the auto does make it easier to drive (for those with bad 
knees).  The tranny seems to find whatever gear is needed, and it just keeps 
on pullin'!  The 04 was the first year of the 325HP 610LB/FT torque engine 
although the '03 HO engine did very well for me also with 305HP and 550 
LB/FT of torque getting 20MPG average.  The new one won't be getting those 
kinds of numbers yet since it only has 1K miles on it now.
