Why are the lower ones more risky? The upper ones can allow a hole into your sinuses which is no fun. A friend of mine had that and was laid up for a week or two over it. I had 4 pulled when I was 21, no impaction to speak of. I could have driven home except we had to stop so I could throw up. They gave me all 4 teeth in a little baggie.

The topic of wisdom teeth is of high interest to me, as I still have my two lower ones at age 36. I had the top two pulled because they each had a cavity. Am weighing the risks against the benefits of having the lower ones pulled (you probably know that the lower ones are more risky). I ask my dentist and oral surgeon if these two lower wisdom teeth will give me trouble of any sort between now and my funeral. It's quite hard to get any concrete answer (I'm just looking for their opinion, but I've run into a lot of hesitancy to give opinions on the part of healthcare professionals). Big, fuel hungry, weighed WAY too much, as they were simply two straight 8's on an expanded common crankshaft -- twin ignition systems, twin carb systems, the whole works. Hand start too, although Cadillac had an electric starter by then. Overheated all the time, almost impossible to get the timing right, and not that much more power that the new design V8s that started appearing shortly after.
