On my '92 W140 S350/300SD I get 30.0 on the road. This is with me, 35 lbs in the trunk and a full tank of fuel (BTW, with this configuration I have 2500 lbs on the front axel and 2500 lbs on the rear axel) for a total of 5000 lbs In town I get anywhere from 26 to 28 depending on how much the signals are in my favor . On the road I beat every Hybrid I know of. My lady friend has a 2005 VW Jetta Diesel and we get 50.1 on the road. Let's see a hybrid beat that. The answer to the future is Hibrid DIESEL-electric
