Six or seven years ago, I purchased for my 81 300D a NEW door handle assembly from Caliber Motors in CA with factory original locking cylinder, key, etc. I think I vaguely remember that I got a coupla handle assemblies from salvage yard about the same time. 'Planned to put my cylinders in them. Meanwhile, while waiting for new handle, I switched all the handles from left to right, which turned them all over, putting new-looking chrome visible on top and moved the little-used front passenger lock./handle to the driver door. This worked so well I never installed the new handle; 'gave it to buyer of the car 4 yrs ago. I'll look in attic tomorrow to see if I may have coupla handles.
