Hi Andreas,
Sorry I haven't been able to help you, been kinda
busy. Ok, what you are getting is a console on the
linux machine this is effectively telnet.
What is probably easiest to do is create a dialup script
miamiinit. Set the connection as ppp and the username
and password to a username and password of the user
you want to use on the linux machine. When the telnet
type response pops up send the username and
password when asked and when you get a prompt enter
"ppp -d" (i thing thats right). That should start ppp
daemon and you should get a connection between the
two machines.
Give it a try, if it still doesn't work, I promise I'll look it
up when I get home and write back what to do.

ps. SuSE is very easy to setup to do stuff like this. Try
searching the doc directory for a ppp manual.
