I set up a slip-server on Linux-side.
I dont understand why I Miami states, it is going online, rests
in that state and meanwhile I can login and move in the linux-box,
even when I dont know what to do there, because I wanted to down- or
upload files viaftp from and to the Amiga. That doesnt seem to work.
Miami states its going online... If this is a telnet-connection, I
think I have to import a xconsole?

miamiinit doesnt seem to find the slip-server, it always says the
Server-IP is 1.1.1.1.....

that seems to work, see above...
What I also like to do is set up the Amiga as the server and linux as
client-site and use the dipscript to dial into the Amiga. I have to
play with that kind of setup....

I would be happy, someone could give me some tips how to handle the
whole thing, how to make ftp-transfers...

Read so many about that, every docu differs a bit, lacks of important
information. I read the NET-3-howto, no word about setting up a getty
to make the second serial port work....
I like the Caldera-distribution eDesktop 2.4.

The call it Proxy ARP.
