Are you positive about that?

The only time you would have to do that is if you were setting it up for
callback. The only things I have ever entered into Miami Init, information
wise are 1) ISP dialup number 2) username and 3) password. Other than that,
just settings for the modem, serial etc.
If you have had to enter your own number, then you must have been mistakenly
configuring Miami for callback.
