David:

There are two "ram type" pumps that might work for the type of application you
described. The High-lifter pump which is made in the US and the Glockemann from
Australia. HOWEVER, if the pump flow rate of 200 liters per second is from the
low area to the river, forget it.

With either of these the delivery rate would be several liters per minute. Cost
is close to $1000 per pump, depending on the exact size.
High-lifters web address is http://www.high-lifter.com/
Glokemann's web address is http://www.gpe-waterpumps.com/

If I were attempting to move that much water, I would investigate building a
pitot tube siphon to accomplish the task. It would most probably need to be
custom designed and fabricated to meet your requirements.

I have a requirement to pump water out of an area below the main river
flow, and am considering using a ram pump for this. The main river
has plenty of water (over 3000 litres per second) and a head
difference at the weir of just over 1m. The area to be pumped lies a
further one to two metres below the river, so will need to be raised
by 2m to discharge back into the river. Pump flow rate would need to
be about 200 litres per second. The pump is required to keep the water
level below a fixed level, and will not be required to run
continuously - simple automatic starting when required would be ideal.
Any ideas on a suitable product to achieve this, where I could obtain
one and what it might cost?
