Funny about those 15" BBS wheels. I have a receipt from the
original owner of my '91 GTi from when he traded back the dealer the 15" rims
and tires for some 14" teardrops shortly after he bought the car. Trouble is,
the 205-55 Pirelli P600's he has on there are just about gone, and noone makes
that size in a street tire anymore. Guess I'll have to resort to the stock size
(185-60) unless anyone's got a plus size they've been successful
with?

Just picked up a '91 GTi 16V, 67k miles, straight and cherry in and out.
Car
is reputed to be a 2.0L. Looks like all of them were that year,
however,
the "engine family" sticker under the hood refers to a 1.8, 1781cc,

Well, what I paid is another story... He was asking $5700, I got him down to
5 even. Then he was interested in a '90 Jetta Carat that someone gave me
(clean car many problems, "girl" color [light metallic green]). We finally
settled for $47k.
Yes, the car shudders when you take off, unless you poke it immediately. It
will also do the vrummp, vrummp, vrummp thing if you try to crawl along in
1st gear. Motor mount eh? Which one?
The fuel injector lines are steel with rubber sleeves over them. Does this
indicate a genuine 2.0?
