Hey guys need your assistance. I was changing the alternator in my
girlfreinds Saturn today (POS) they stick it all the way in the back of the
engine under the P/S pump and under the exhaust manifold. Anyways, i was
driving to the Auto parts store and i notcied my water temp gauge going up.
Nothing big it was hot (85 F) in Miami. But the needle kept going to the
last line. I got to the parts store bought the new alternator and came out
to coolant all over the ground. I busted a small (3") hose all the way under
the oil filter next to P/S pump. Anyways i changed the hose while in the
parking lot with a generic one till i get the original one from the dealer.
Start the drive home and again its overheating within 5-7 mins. Can anyone
explain why? I need to drive home tonight (30 mins) and i can't seem to find
out why it is overheating. I tried the turning on of the heater to get rid
of the excess heat and nothing. Please help!!
