In the past we were able to get our cars inspected in privately run shops. As of this year, however, we have the expanded inspection. You know, the one where they your car on a rolling dyno and take it through a cycle of different speeds/loads. As a result, all motor vehicle inspections will be performed by state shops. I don't know that I'll have a problem, I was just getting a feel for things in case I did.
