I stand corrected, folks.
The D.M. tag was taped over and painted over due to the PO's bodywork. The
paperwork which came with the car indicated a date of manufacture of
1/90. However this was an error.
I peeled the tape off and sure enough, my '89 was actually built in 8/88.
Sorry for the confusion.
