I couldn't agree more. Mine broke one of those thin tabs that is rivited near
to the od of the plate after about 500-800 miles. I spoke with another guy who
said that they had a batch of mis heat treated pressure plate parts and he got
his warrantied. For some reason Potterman wouldn't check to see if mine was
warranty. Anyway, I purchased a Stage III Kevlar clutch kit from Holland
at ND. Set me back a fortune and the chattering is finally starting to subside
after about 1500 miles - but it hasn't broke on me! BUT I BET THEY WOULDN'T
HAVE BROKE WITH STOCK HORSEPOWER.

Barely 13K miles on this pressure plate, and bam! It's broke. I don't know
how many times this has happened now. This one was a Superkit or whatever
it's called, for the A3 cars. It seems the pressure plate can't handle the
high rpms, 'cause I've never had this problem with my 8V cars.
Well, I'm either going to throw in a low mileage sachs pressure plate (it's
free!) or I'm going to splurge and get the clutchmasters or the centerforce
kit.
