Oh, they break with stock horsepower... you just have to shift into third,
from redline in 4th gear.


Yeah, good times.  I had the same problem, broke one of the little fingers
that holds the pressure plate together.  If it's a stock vehicle, don't
bother with a HD pressure plate... for that exact reason.  I'm fairly sure
that's what saved my motor from grenading completely when it hit an
estimated 9500 rpm's.... perhaps even close to 10k for a second.
