Chad,

Odds are the plastic liners inside the doors are the problem. Not a hard nor expensive repair. Pull the door hardware & cards and then peel off what plastic is left. I've used one large "Contractor" trash bag and was able to get a liner for each side out of it. Use one of the old ones as a template (they are the same on both sides) if you can get it off the door in one piece. While you have them off, take a few minutes to tighten any bolts inside the door (window channel, etc.) and get some lube on any moving parts.

Clean all the old residue off of the door and using a spray adhesive like 3M heavy duty, attach the new liner to it. Once you have it tacked in place, trim it as required and then go around the edges with some good quality duct tape (3M or "Gorilla" type). Job done, never to have to be fiddled with again......Jack

Maybe I'll start be replacing all the plastic in the doors and see if
the water leak stops? Anything else I should have a look at? I am no
good at troubleshooting water leaks on my vws. I should be because
they all have leaked - maybe its by design. How about I drill some
small holes in the floor where the water puddles up...
