Adrian, I have had a similar experience to Allen's. My 95+8 was not running well and in particular the tick over was very lumpy and sometimes stalled. It already had a Librands cross over exhaust system and K&N air filter. I took it to Mark Adams (no connection) and using a rolling road he diagnosed that the coil had the wrong resistance (easy fix) but more significantly, when tested out of the car, the Lucas injectors were not performing as required i.e. some of them were not producing a fine spray of fuel. I had Bosch injectors fitted together with a Tornado chip. This was a year ago and since then the car has performed very well with no residual problems. Fuel consumption has also improved a little. Bob.
