If you use a phone that takes apps, such a an iPhone then this is an 
interesting one to consider http://world.waze.com/  I don't use it myself (yet) 
but I have seen it used to good effect. The difference between waze and the 
rest is that it allows you to see others in your party/convoy and there 
relative positions to yourself. A good example would be, if everyone going to 
LeMans had enabled waze, then everyone in the party would be able to each 
others position. I saw it used at the Yorkshire Big Breakfast meeting (a petrol 
heads delight) and was very impressed by it.
