if he was an attorney, he would never say "I'll sue you and put you
out of business" as it is easily construed as extortion by the courts
and is illegal to say in most states (or is it all states)
did you know that in many states it is illegal to say "if you don't
pay me I'm going to sue you"??

money was no object, that he had been told to put me out of
business at any cost. In actuality, the person who contacted me is
listed at <http://www.bbb.org>www.bbb.org as the owner of
Wholesale Poster Frames, so perhaps he is an attorney also or he
and his attorney share the same name. Whatever the case may be, my
comments were as stated in the listing.."read before you buy". As a
member of MoPo, I happen to also be a business owner. However, as a
member of the group, I am sharing my personal experiences with this company.
My post was in response to your comments that an Archival frame
with UV filtered plexiglass was being offered and I was pointing out
that, nowhere on their website did they say they were offering an
"archival frame with UV filtered plexiglass". So, that was the gist
of my original post.
It would seem they are either members of our MoPo group or have
someone on the group they know. Why not join the group and respond
to my comments if they find them false. That would seem the fair
thing to do and they would be able to respond to all of you and
state their case regarding their frames.
As I have said many times on this group and in all the articles
I write, it doesn't matter to me where you buy your custom frames,
just always ask for genuine 1/8" thick UV filtered plexiglass and
Artcare museum backing. That will preserve your posters. As
consumers, you are free to buy wherever you want and I appreciate
competition. It makes things more interesting. Just when comparing,
make sure you are comparing apples to apples. That's it.

I had no idea about their prior history, and thanks for the post to
set everything straight.
In general; competition is good, and I doubt you would mind the
mention of another reputable framer even if you do set the industry
standard (perhaps Glen would prefer it if we also only mention one
poster dealer from now on), but that is a far cry from the apparent
leeches this company appears to be and I apologize for mentioning them.
The Courts have been very aggressive against cyber-squatters and I
would think you have a very clear case against this company if you
chose to go that route to protect yourself (not to mention damages
against your reputation/goodwill).
For the record, my pride and joy Dracula one-sheet sits in a Sue
Heim frame, and I wouldn't dream of it any other way.
